    hi-way in glass software solutions
    • Vertical time estimation algorithm for glass with variants for material, shape, process and machine
• Production flow optimization
• Definition of processing start dates that allow compliance with delivery
dates while respecting the maximum load on existing resources
• Integrated with orders and quotations
• Immediate visualization of production peaks with the possibility of using
alternative resources
• Timely identification of potential delays and criticalities
PLANNING module
 Benefits
  Machine Workload:
 • The estimated execution time can be fixed in the BOM or calculated in real time during the order entry according to the type of glass, the type of processing, the presence of shapes and the capacity of the individual machine.
• The most relevant physical unit of measurement is taken into account for each process: square meters for cutting, linear meters for perimeter processing, quantities for holes and notches, etc.
Planning:
• Each machine has its own calendar with defined working times and shifts.
• Each machine is included in a group of homogeneous resources.
• Planning defines what has to be done, where it has to be done, when it has to be done.
• Calculation of start and end date of each operation in relation to the capacity of each machine.
• Two different scheduling strategies available: ASAP (As Soon As Possible, calculates the earliest
possible delivery date compatible with planned loads), JIT (Just In Time, allows production to start as late
as possible but within the required delivery date).
• Different machinery allocation strategies: distribution of work over several machines, saturation of a single
machine, sequential distribution (each resource can be preferential, mandatory or alternative).
• Possibility of “ binding “ an operation to a specific date and machine
• Optimization of flows on a single machine (glass sorting by size to minimize set-up times for each machine)
Visualization:
• Gantt chart to display batches and operations on a time scale.
• Detailed planning result shown on each order
• Detailed work lists for each resource
• Capacities and workloads shown on a histogram chart
