Dynamic re-optimization according to Optima
Re-OPT is an innovative system designed to dynamically manage piece breakage and allow constant updating of the cutting program in order to decrease latency times for recovery of broken pieces and reduce (if not avoid) waste on the last sheet. Breakages in the cut can be declared on the field using a touch-screen monitor and letting the re-optimization to intervene so that the piece is immediately re-inserted into the next available cutting plan. Re-OPT is integrated with all the other Optima modules, in particular with the production progress MES system: breaks declared by GMC-Monitor stations or by automatic systems such as quality control scanners around the production line are immediately visible to Re-opt and can be reintegrated into production from the next sheet.
Re-OPT is an add-on module of the table supervisor “Line Manager” and can be used at any time to add parts from other orders (e.g. to fill the last sheet), to include emergencies, to perform immediate restorations, to join two orders of the same material and to manually modify a cutting plan directly on the field few seconds before to start the cut.
The module can operate on call or be configured to take action automatically if there are broken parts in the system.
